Senior Backend Developer

Verisure, operating under two brand names (Securitas Direct & Verisure) is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Senior Backend. The role will part of a growing and talented Technology Team and will report directly into our IT Head-Digital Channels. This is a critical role that will help the Technology organization in the development and integration of the SW that will be built for a new family of products, delivering the world’s most advanced and intuitive smart alarm product suite.

Our office in Madrid is a top R&D Center in the connected smart home market. Here we create and develop services and products for home security and home automation. We are specialists in home safety and customer integrity issues and have amassed a wealth of experience and expertise over more than 25 years. We do most things in-house to guarantee premium quality every step of the way.

As we are living in a place where changes are the constant thing, technology gives us power to do and have better things that’s why Securitas Direct is looking for Senior Developer at our Technology Hub in Madrid. We are looking for a passionate, Senior Software Engineer with experience in front and backend development, architecture and API solutions.

We would like to be platform owners, so we develop in a high-quality environment, implementing SW development best practices and maintaining our platform with a zero bugs target.

Responsibilities will include:

• Development of analysis and technical designs as of the specifications of the business requirements and functional analysis documentation.
• Development of backend solutions.
• Analyse and propose implementation alternatives, contributing with the technical vision from the backend point of view.
• Ensure the execution of best practices in the backend development.
• Application owner, in terms of Delivery and Service

Candidate profile



Experiences and Qualifications

• Master/ B.A in Computer Engineer or Telecommunications.
• Fluent level of English.
• 6 years of probable experience in IT.
• 6 years of experience as Java backend engineer on a distributed environment.
• Experience on technologies like JBOSS, WebLogic, etc.
• Expertise needed in relational databases.
• Knowledge of development methodologies, control version tools, integration/ continuous delivery and quality (GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, SONAR, JUnit, etc).
• Good communication skills to explain in detail. Interaction with different involved teams.
  
  

Relevant skills that will be valued:

• Spring framework
• Docker
• Distributed Systems experience.
• Spring boot Microservices.
• Performance testing and performance in development knowledge.
  
  

Will be a plus, but not a must:

• Experience in Agile Methodologies
• Kubernetes
• Non relational DDBB
