The role

What we are looking for...

• An experienced accountant, preferably with some background on banking or fraud industries, and a strong understanding of accounting (Spanish GAAP and IFRS), as well as experience in multinational closing processes.
• As the senior accountant for the group in Spain, you will be leading the ERP migration into Peoplesoft, supporting internal and external audits, liaising with tax advisors.
• As an experienced Accountant preferably, you will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of general accounting (local GAAP and IFRS) and monthly financial close processes.
• You will have the ability to deliver financial reports under pressure without compromising on accuracy and attention to detail.
• A relevant qualification within accounting or financial services is highly valued along with excellent knowledge and experience with ERP Implementations.
• You will be a critical thinker with the ability to solve problems with a systematic approach and staying focused under pressure.
• This role requires B2-C1 level in English.

• Leading the ERP migration from eXpertis (local ERP on-premise) to PeopleSoft (Cloud ERP), together with the UK, LT and SP teams
• IFRS 15 Implementation follow-up
• Tax compliance and follow-up. Liaising with tax advisors
• General accounting postings
• Balance Sheet reconciliations. Accruals & deferrals
• Treasury management
• Bank reconciliations
• Internal Controls
• Main contact for auditors
• Statutory accounts
• Responding to statistics from the INE Madrid Town Hall, BdE.
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Others
