Flywire was founded in 2011 by a former international student, who experienced firsthand all the challenges of paying for college from another country—and made it his mission to solve them.

Today, Flywire has applied our next-gen payments platform combined with our proprietary global payments network and vertical software to expand and digitize the payment experience for over 2,250 education, healthcare, travel & B2B clients world-wide, processing more than $7B annually and covering more than 240 countries and territories globally. With over 450 FlyMates distributed across 12 offices world-wide and representing more than 40 nationalities, we’re looking for FlyMates to join the next stage of our journey as we continue to grow.

The Opportunity:

Delivering a first-class customer experience for our clients and payers to ensure international refunds are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Must be a team player with a hands-on approach that will strive for continuous improvement. Will have an eagerness to learn and feel confident working and collaborating internationally within a larger global team.

Operating in the most effective and efficient way whilst driving change. Understanding Flywire’s full payment workflow.

Have a positive, can-do attitude along with strong communication and motivation skills to do whatever it takes to achieve the team’s goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and understand Flywire’s refund processes and flows across multiple international payment corridors
  • Solve complex issues in relation to refunds
  • Respond and resolve customers’ questions and concerns via phone and email with speed, professionalism, and compassion
  • Liaise and coordinate with multiple internal and external parties to agree an optimal solution and ensure a high-quality experience
  • Proactively follow up on unresolved refund queries with payers and payment partners
  • Assist internal stakeholders with their inquiries
  • Provide assistance and cover for other refund processing tasks
Here’s What We Are Looking For:
  • Undergraduate Degree along with an interest in financial services or operations
  • Fluency in English (required); other languages are an advantage
  • Exceptional communication skills, international experience is an advantage
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Consistent execution with high standards of service
  • Passion for problem solving
  • Possess a willingness and eagerness to learn
  • Proficiency in Excel and other online tools (Google Apps, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Zendesk
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills
  • Ability to enhance and improve processes
